This is a very expensive entry of the journal, because right now I’m in the Hong Kong International Airport, waiting for another friend to come. So whgile waiting I’ve spotted this little phone booth that allows me to serve the internet. But it costs really a lot. I’ve inserted $40 and all I get is about half an hour of access. And the best thing is I can’t even check my NUS Email! Oh well, this world is not perfect after all so I guess sometimes I shouldn’t really complain too much. I should be grateful that I can even surf the net in the first place!
Anyway the last 2 days have been low-key I guess. Did quite a bit of walkabout, ate a lot of things, played a lot of arcade, bought a bit of things, but haven’tn really get to the serious shopping. But whatever it is, I need to start watching my expenses. I really don’t want to get into a situation that I am left with no money.
Hong Kong hasn’t been that awfully cold these few days. In fact I’m feeling rather warm wearing the jacket that I’m wearing now. If you are next to me you’ll be able to see perspiration dropping down from my face!
With my internet access coming from a telephone booth, I can’t really be doing much in the journal. But not to worry, I promise I’ll put my whole trip up the web after I return home, as well as the pictures that I’ve taken. I’m sure it would be of interest to you. In the meanwhile, enjoy yourselves and I’ll catch everyone when I get home again.
That said, I still need to check if my flight back to Singapore on 19th is confirmed or not. I really don’t want to get stuck in a situation that I’m not allowed on the plane because something screws up somewhere.
Enjoy the weekend – I have almost another hour plus of bus ride from the Airport in Lantau back to my home in Lam Tin to look forward to.
Oh by the way I’ll be in the Shatin Racecourse tomorrow for the Hong Kong International Races. The WSRC finale is on tomorrow with the Hong Kong Cup!
