A day of two halves. It really was.
Went to the Chinese Embassy with the rest of the NOC people to apply for our visas. It was nice to be with all of them as we have a very fun time chatting and waiting for the visa application. As things stand and if everything goes smoothly, we should be leaving for Shanghai on 21 January, though Yvonne and Mingquan are going on the 13th. Went over to Tanglin Mall for lunch and had another lengthy chat, basically about how we’ll expect our lives to be like. It’s great that everyone seems to be enjoying everyone else’s company. Well, put it this way, once we are all in Shanghai, we really only have one another and we’ll need to be watching one another’s backs. It should be a great year though.
Then I came home, and continued with the programming for the Co-Op project. Technically I spent the whole afternoon and evening until now doing the project, and the sad truth? It’s still a long way to go. After all I’m converting the parts that I’ve done in VB to ASP, in addition to programming the parts that I haven’t already done. The good thing though is that VB and ASP is rather similar (I’m using VBScript for my ASP) so the conversion is rather easy.
Looks as if tomorrow’s going to be more or less the same for me. Would be in school in the morning, go for a meeting in the afternoon, then more programming. I haven’t even got time to settle things that I should be settling. Things like my tuition fee loan extensions – I just don’t have the time to sort them out. All thanks to the programming project.
What if I suddenly lose all my ability to program? Hmm…
