Champions.

First of all thanks to everyone who was at the club last night to have that farewell gathering for me. I really appreciate that very much. Sometimes it makes me wonder why friends whom I’ve only known for a few months can go so far to make me feel happy, yet someone who’s known me for much longer only do things to annoy me. But whatever it is, the friends I’ve made at the Comp Club has really been a wonderful bunch and I’ll definitely miss the whole lot of them. These few months as the FOCC Chairperson (an elected one, may I add) have been brilliant and I really hope to have the chance to work with everyone again.

Went to the National Stadium to watch the Tiger Cup Final between the Lions and Indonesia with SQ, Jennifer and her other friend whom I still never caught the name (didn’t really bother to ask, more like). I absolutely enjoyed myself throughout the match. To see the Lions win on home soil is something that I’ve never quite managed to do all these while. To be able to win the final so convincingly is something that is beyond my wildest dream. The cheers, the chants, the abuse everyone hurled at the referee for some pretty hopeless decisions, and of course the Kallang Wave. They all contributed to a great evening out at the soon-to-be-rebuilt National Stadium and if the current National Stadium deserved one last round of the Kallang Roar, it certainly got it tonight. The Kallang Roar was truly back, after a 10-year absence.

I was there with 54,999 other people. Where were you when the Lions laid their hands on the Tiger Cup for the second time?
