Sunday.

There were two weather forecasts today for Shanghai. One of them read 5 to 7 degrees celcius with rain, the other read -3 to 3 degrees with snow. None of them was true – it was more like -3 to 3 degrees with rain. It wasn’t fun going out with rain pouring on your head.

Anyway we had some 麻辣烫 for lunch today. The whole concept of it is similar to Yong Tau Foo back home, except that this one has much more stuffs on offer. I had quite a lot because it really tasted very good. Another one to recommend – but then again, I’ve hardly eaten anything bad ever since coming to Shanghai two weeks ago.

Went to karaoke in the afternoon with the rest of the people and sang quite a few songs, subsequently went to 永和大王 for dinner. I think it was because of the heavy lunch, I didn’t really eat too much as I only ordered a bowl of prawn wanton. After dinner we all went to Coffee Bean at Fuzhou Road to continue our chat. As usual, our topics evolve round our work, our houses, and how Yvonne always keep getting bullied by the five guys here at Zhongshan Park (yawn). Left for home at about 10, but not before having a bit of fun on the metro train:

6 hands on the metro pole – the Dajiayuan Gang.

Rain.

Woke up at 12.30 today after sleeping at 5 this morning. The mahjong session last night with the rest of the people were great.

Went to Xujiahui in the afternoon to hunt for a birthday present for Huiling. Couldn’t really find what I want, so I went to Yuyuan to try to see if there’s anything more suitable. In the end I bought something that look quite nice, and I hope that she’d like it when she gets it in about 2 weeks’ time. Dinner was at Yuyuan, though I did think that the food wasn’t really that great. Walked from Yuyuan all the way to The Bund (it was actually not that far), took the tram back to Zhongshan Park and then proceed to buy the food for the NCS3 reunion dinner, which is going to be held at our place here in Zhongshan Park. I honestly have no idea how everyone’s going to fit in, but I guess we’ll figure out how on that day.

Have been looking around the net for information about the train tickets from Hangzhou back to Shanghai. I honestly am still feeling a bit worried about not being able to get the tickets back. But I think there should somehow be a way out for that. For all we know, there may quite a lot of tickets available.

Haven’t figure out what we want to do tomorrow. I think we’ll leave the thinking to tomorrow. Have a great weekend.
