Los Angeles.

I’m sitting here in Hilton Los Angeles Universal City. Basically today was good – time passed very quickly!

After checking out of the hostel, I took the metro to get to the LA Airport. Boy, what a ride! It took me an hour and a half to get to the airport and the worst thing is that the trains come at 10-minute intervals. Not recommended if you don’t have enough time.

Went back to Hollywood in the afternoon with my boss and my client for lunch and a lookabout. Then went to Rodeo Drive, which is supposed to be world-famous for all the branded goods they sell there (real ones, may I add). Also took a look at Beverly Hills and saw all the lavish houses there. I’m sure I would have seen a couple of the stars if they had decided to take an afternoon walk with their dogs, but that’s fine. Who knows one fine day I may be their neighbour!

Reached Universal City for the hotel and I must say that this hotel is downright posh. I think I’m just way too lucky. Went for dinner at CityWalk, which is right in front of Universal Studios, then did some shopping at the Universal Studios Store. Bought myself a cap and a t-shirt for USD 27. Not the cheapest I must say, but I’ wasn’t going to get out of this place without grabbing something memorable.

Would be spending the day tomorrow at Universal Studios. I hope it will be fun.

Still haven’t really recovered from the jet lag yet as I was still feeling very tired throughout the day. Perhaps an early night would do me good.
