Sent my client off in the morning as he took the trip to Las Vegas – I’m free!
Called Cathay Pacific to sort out my air ticket – now I’m leaving US on the 10th instead of the 11th because I reckon it would perhaps be better for my wallet that I leave a day earlier. It seems like a good choice cos apparently there’s still some problems with my debit card and I can’t get any money out. I’m pretty sure that those people aren’t going to charge me for those things that they need me to “settle payment”, but it does look likely that I can’t use my MasterCard until I leave America. That doesn’t sound like a good idea cos I have only about 200 US dollars left!
So what I decided to do is to take the entire day off here in Anaheim. I went to take a look at the Angels Stadium, the home ground for the Major League Baseball team Anaheim Angels. Would have wanted to watch them but the timings were just not right. I guess I’m not fated to watch any NHL, MLB or whatever sports game here in US for that matter. Not when my debit card is in the limbo that it is in now.
I slept through the entire morning and watched TV until about 5. Went out to Target, which is equivalent to the Carrefour back home, and bought some stuffs for myself and those of you back in Shanghai. I couldn’t really afford something too fanciful, but then I think it’s the thoughts that count! Went for dinner at that Chinese resaturant again, before getting my transport to the LAX sorted out at the Concierge. Now at least I know whatever happens, I can pretty much get out of the US.
Decided to pen today’s entry slightly earlier because I don’t want to be paying another 10 dollars for the broadband internet access in the room. I’m on a mission to save as much as possible!
That said, no one is going to stop me from going to Disneyland tomorrow! Perhaps I can afford about two t-shirts as sourvenirs, but I think that’s fine. Of course I’ll be still trying to save as much as possible, so at least when I get to Hong Kong I won’t be without a single penny! Now I have about 700 Hong Kong Dollars with me, and I don’t think I can afford much luxuries when I’m there, if my debit card is still not sorted out.
But I’m still fine. I can still go through life doing alright, just that I probably may not be able to get you guys enough gifts before my card is sorted out. I promised if the card is only sorted out after I return to Shanghai, I’ll give you guys a good treat.
