Filming.

Spent the day with Fionna doing the filming for the marketing video that we are doing for NCS. Basically walked around central Shanghai to places like People’s Square, The Bund and Lujiazui. Shot quite a bit of stuffs and I’m pretty satisfied with whatever I had. Now all I have to do is to get more footages and then I can start doing the editing for the video already.

The weather is really getting a bit colder lately. It’s only 12 degrees right now and apparently the lowest can go until 10 degrees. I’m sure the winter is going to arrive pretty soon. That suits me just fine.

A fairly low-key Saturday, but I think that’s fine with me.

South Beauty.

The highlight of the day was definitely the dinner at South Beauty 881 with Dheresse, Ben, Steffen and Cara. Initially I wasn’t very sure about going because I know I’m going to spend quite a bit there. But for the sake of good friends, certain sacrifices have to be made. So off I went in the drizzle. I wouldn’t really say the food is fantastically fantastic, but it definitely beats a lot of restaurants hands down. Besdies, I kinda like the service there. The waiters and waitresses were pretty on the ball, and they basically answered to all our needs (though sometimes it wasn’t entirely fast). Also, the general manager as well as the chief chef came to our table to say hi (it helped when Cara knew the chief chef personally) and I think that’s a very nice gesture.

After the dinner we went to Tongren Road to have a drink and continue chatting. It was more like Steffen, Ben and I were engaged in topics of our own and the two girls were happily chatting on their own. That turned out just fine, cos I think the most important thing is that we get to meet up and catch up with one another. Not that it’s been an awfully long time since I last saw Ben, Steffen and Dheresse, but it was definitely nice to see Cara after such a long while.

Decided I was too poor to take a cab back home, so I walked from Tongren Road back to Zhongshan Park. The walk was pretty nice as it was pretty cooling. The drizzling was a bit bothering, but I didn’t mind it that much. In the end the walk lasted about 50 minutes, which was OK considering that I managed to save about 20 RMB of cab fare! After I reached home some of the guys were going out for karaoke. I would loved to have joined them, but my financial constraints as well as my physical condition after the long walk just didn’t allow for it. Oh well, I’m sure it won’t be the last time we all go for a karaoke session anyway.

Finally it’s the weekend!
