Pulled out of my bed by Min Chuan for some football with the lads at Wuyi House. So off we went to Donghua University campus for some ball kicking. We played a five-a-side with some local Chinese people and let’s just say that while we didn’t get totally run off the park like Man United did last night against Middlesbrough, our fitness was just not up to standard. In the end the final score was 3-1 (that was when we figured that we should end the game by seeing who scored three goals first) and the only highlight for myself was that I scored a great individual goal, rounding two guys before back-heeling the ball into the goal. As far as I’m concerned, I think I’ve lost quite a bit of my skills but I think I was still playing decently well. The occasional backheel still worked fine, as well as the flicks and little tricks. Now if only I have the fitness to boot – playing at 10 degrees certainly is not good because I get tired way too easily!
Had the entire afternoon sleeping at home. I was just way too tired after the football game, and not to mention that I slept at about 4 this morning, playing Winning Eleven on my laptop.
Went out to Jing’an Temple for dinner with some of my housemates and the Wuyi kids as well as Dheresse. We went to this Cantonese restaurant that was famous for the soup they serve. The soup was indeed quite nice, but I wasn’t entirely impressed with the service attitude. It looked as if like the waitresses were never in the mood to do their job well. Oh well, I think it’s that “not taking pride in their work” mentality acting up among these people.
People have been commenting that my little journal is getting a bit too wordy, so here are a few pics for your enjoyment. For the pics that I took in the US, please go to the gallery of my website!

The last cup of Starbucks coffee I had before leaving America.

One of the many many glasses of nice beer that I indulged myself in at the Shanghai Asia Pacific Brewery. I think it was either Tiger or Reeb that I was drinking.

Put in a nice caption and I reckon this would be a very nice beer advertisement.
Somehow I seem to be missing America. Strange that.
