Phonecall.

A funny telephone conversation today in the office:

Me:”Hi, may I speak to Mr. So-and-so?” (in English)
The other side:”Huh?”
Me:”Erm, may I speak to Mr. So-and-so?” (in English)
The other side:”Erm…”
Me:”May I speak to Mr…” (still in English)
(phone is hung up)
Me:”…”

Sometimes I wonder is it my fault that whoever on the other side cannot speak English.
