Spent the morning trying to figure out how to send the data from a form to an email address. It’s not something that I haven’t done before, but somehow the thing didn’t seem to work today. I think I’ll spend some time to try to find out how to do it on Monday.

Met some very interesting people today and I think it would be someone to introduce to my boss. His business seems to be one of those “really can make it” one rather than those “i-think-we-are-worth-20-million-USD-because-we-think-we-are-great” companies that I’ve seen so many throughout my time here. Perhaps sometimes it’s so much better to be really doing work and getting deals done than to spend time and effort trying to go for those whatever recognition from whatever government agencies or whatever newspaper. Sadly, some of these people really think that having these kind of “titles’ are more important than having a great product and a brilliant business model. They really believe that being a “provincial leading unit in industry” is more important than having a good product that really sells. Some of these companies… you really cannot figure them out. So the guy I met today was pretty much a fresh breathe of air.

Had dinner at this Guizhou restaurant in Pudong – I think the food’s great, just that at the end of it I was so full that I couldn’t enjoy more of the food! Came back and basically spent lots of time playing RTK10.

Still struggling to decide if I should go for the Spanish course. Decisions decisions decisions.
