Went to Hangzhou yesterday with Sarah, Angel and the other guys. Was supposed to be their tour guide because I’ve been there so many times, but I must say that I did a bad job and if I wrecked their day I’m really sorry!
Then went out for the whole of today with a few of my Shanghai friends and basically we kinda chatting around, eating around, looking around. Quite a nice way to spend a Sunday actually – I think I’m going to miss all these when I go back to Singapore. Some of these friends I made are really very nice people and I really enjoyed our friendships. I guess perhaps when there is no conflict in interest then everyone can be a friend to everyone else. But then again this world is all about benefits, so sometimes friendships get tainted because everyone’s interests are different. Worse still, somebody will take you as a friend when you are needed, but kinda chuck you to a side when you are not. Being a real world like it is, there’s perhaps nothing we can do to stop all these.
I’ve got a busy week ahead because the project that I was on that took me to US a few weeks back is coming back on again. So I think I’ll have more research to do for the next few days. And then with a year-end review and another project going on, I think I’m going to be kinda busy.
Besides work, there are also a few things that I’m kinda concerned and worried about. And I can tell you, these things that I’m worried about aren’t exactly nice things to be worried about. But this is life – sometimes we get dragged into crazy issues against our wishes, and we end up having to worry about them. Oh well, this is life.
And then there are things I really want to find someone to talk to.
