Without trying to scare anyone, I think I’m getting the flu (after almost everyone in the house has gotten it). Not exactly sure if I’ve gotten it yet, but chances are I do. At least I’m feeling the symptoms of the flu.
In any case class today was interesting! Not that it was interestingly interesting, but because the lecturer left after one lesson and asked her TA to go through the assignment she’s given us. That seemed fine, until everyone realised that the TA was doing a totally different set of questions from everyone else! So expectedly, the TA hurried through her explanation and the whole lot of us were relieved that we didn’t have to endure more of those finance rubbish. I mean, such things are interesting to perhaps pursue in our own leisure, but as an exam subject? I don’t think so. Just before I left Fudan I bought three books – that should be able to keep me entertained for a while.
Went back to office and worked on my last project (it’s amazing that I’m still given heavy tasks with just 7 days left officially in the office, but I enjoy it nonetheless), and I think I would have to continue working on it tomorrow morning before presenting it to my boss. Hope she likes whatever that I’m going to tell her.
Didn’t have a very good evening cos I was feeling rather tired and lethargic, though my dinner was good – something less salty and oily for a change. Sometimes when I see the amount of oil the Shanghai restaurants put in their dishes, it can be really freaky. Also had a good chat with a new friend from Hong Kong, and I think it’s always nice to be able to chat with someone from home, because one we speak the same language (it’s just fundamenally different speaking Cantonese with a native Hongkonger than anything else) and two there are so many things that we can all relate to. I think it’s a great thing.
I’ve got Spanish class again tomorrow – I skipped the last one yesterday cos my eyes were hurting real bad, and I think there’s no running away from the one tomorrow. Well, let’s just say that while I enjoy the class personally, I’m not really keen to go for the class again because I feel that my own pace is being slowed down. Not that it’s anyone’s fault, but I guess that’s always going to happen when you have someone like me who have been learning almost all the available languages in the world. I’m not boasting of course, just merely stating a fact. Haha.
See you guys around – oh in case you guys haven’t already know, I’ll be back in Singapore on 5 January.
