Busy.

Spent the morning working on the current project in office before heading to Chedun in Songjiang with my boss, Lily and E.Koh. Basically we went to the film studios at Chedun to get some ideas for our current project. The studios was quite cool – it has a remake of the Nanjing Road in the 1930’s! The appearance of the place looks highly familiar, and it should be, considering films like Kungfu Hustle by Stephen Chow and Perhaps Love by Chen Kexin. I think the place really looked interesting, and I think it’s a shame that it wasn’t being put into good use. I mean, it could be a very interesting tourist attraction if everything is done up nicely. But then again, not everywhere can be a Universal Studios.

The view of Nanjing Road in the 1930s, apparently.

The Nanjing Road sign.

After returning back to the office (the ride from Songjiang back to office was about an hour long, thanks to the traffic jams), I was not as busy, and was basically surfing around to try to find more inspiration for the project. I think I need to start to learn how to create a full flash website. Took a look at the websites for Zouk and Ministry of Sound Singapore for references and I think I roughly know what I’m going to do. Talking about MOS-SG, I am really excited about the place after Dheresse told me about it. I mean, I heard that they were going to open one in Singapore a while back, and now that it is really opening it is really a piece of exciting news. I guess I’m going to check the place out after I go back. After all, I’m getting a little bit older, so perhaps Mambo Jambo at Zouk is going to be less and less suitable for an old man like me.

Skipped my Spanish class again to prepare for my Finance exam tomorrow. I spent close to 5 hours doing the revisions and I think I’ve more or less covered what I need to cover. I’ve also got my cheat sheet ready (we are allowed to bring it into the exam tomorrow – yeah!), so I think as far as preparations go, I can’t say that I’m ill-prepared. Of course I wasn’t as hardworking as everyone else by reading the textbook, but it’s never me who do revisions by reading textbooks anyway (in fact I think I’ve never done that before since entering uni). Now all I can say is hope for the best, and hope that the preparations that I’ve done is going to be enough to see me through. I think I’m fairly nervous by it, but as far as I’m concerned being nervous isn’t going to help, so I may as well have a good night’s rest and just do my best tomorrow in the exam hall. Wish me luck.
