The SOC Orientation Camp is over and I think it was a great one. I felt that the freshmen enjoyed themselves, and of course the camp committee did a good job to make the event possible. As the FOCC Chairperson, I wasn’t given a group to manage, which to a certain extent turned out to be a good experience for me as well. After all, as far as the SOC orientation camp is concerned, I have participated it both as a freshman and a orientation group leader, so I guess I’ve already had my share of fun in the past. This time round I manage to look at the camp from a different perspective and it allowed me to see something that perhaps the camp committee, the OGLs and the freshmen did not see, and I think it was good. For me, I guess I didn’t just go to the camp to enjoy myself. At the same time of observing how the committee is executing their plans, I also tried my best to observe the freshmen as well as take note of people, seniors and freshmen alike, who would be good for the next FOCC. I guess I have more than just enjoying myself and having fun on my mind.
Didn’t really snap a lot of pictures for this camp, but I guess whatever I have did reflect very nicely of the camp… enjoy!
