Spent the day at home marking the assignments for my two IT1003 classes. It wasn’t an easy job to be looking at so many scripts, but I have fun marking them. Whenever I think of that two classes of mine I always seem to feel very happy. They were two classes of lovely people and while they aren’t the most active bunch of students I have ever seen, but I somehow really like them very much. While it may be tiring to be preparing for tutorials and conducting them, I think I enjoyed my 9 tutorial sessions with all of them. To me, I think I tried not to be so much of a “tutor” to them, but more like a “senior” who’s trying to help them along. I think it’s more fun that way, and I believe the classes were conducted in a more relaxed way, which I feel would perhaps be more beneficial to everyone. After all, I am also a student and I had numerous experiences sitting in boring tutorial classes, of which the tutors were so bad that they made all those classes unbearable. I was merely trying to make sure my students don’t have to endure that.
If anyone of you in my IT1003 classes are reading this, I really want to thank you guys for a great semester. It was a great experience, and I hope that you guys enjoyed the classes as much as I did!
