The first movie I watched in 2007 was rubbish. It starred Chow Yun Fatt, Gong Li and Jay Chou (and a few others whom I can’t be bothered to remember their names). I didn’t know what the story was trying to say, I didn’t know what was the moral of the story, and all I saw was just a lot of visuals. There were a lot of spectacular scenes, but that’s all about the film. I left the cinema not understanding what the heck I just watched. Thank God I only paid HK$45 for the ticket, and not the HK$60 that I would normally pay on a weekday night. Still it was a waste of money – now I understand why some of my friends would rather get the 5 RMB DVD in China. It was really not worth the money and the time. If I had watched it alone I probably would have left halfway through the movie.
The next movie to watch will be Nana 2, which will be on this Thursday!
