The weekend was over, and what a weekend!
I went to Shenzhen with my sister on Saturday for a karaoke session that was ridiculously cheap. We went to Partyworld around Guomao, and we paid RMB 138 for our 3 hours of non-stop singing and non-stop eating. The deal was that the KTV only cater for 3 persons and above on Saturdays and Sundays, and the 2 of us actually had to pay for 3 persons. But even that was only RMB 138. So it worked out to about close to RMB 70 for 2 persons, which I think is still cheap!
Then yesterday evening I went to Mong Kok to watch football with a group of fellow Manchester United supporters. The place was completely red and basically everyone was singing and cheering non-stop. When Cristiano Ronaldo put United 1-0 up the place totally erupted – and this eruption was only eclipsed by the second goal scored by Ryan Giggs. Of course nothing beats seeing United lifting the championship trophy, and I think to be able to see the match with fellow Reds makes this win an even more memorable one.
Then I was at Festival Walk just now to meet up with two of my primary schoolmates and it was so wonderful to have been able to see them. Come to think of it, I think I’ve known them for close to 20 years, and I am so delighted that I’m able to find them again. Even though this time round only 3 of us could turn up, but I’m sure we could gather more people in the future!
This weekend has to be one of the happiest weekends so far for me in 2008!
