Parrot.

As I’m writing, I’m sitting inside my office with a mask on. I’ve been struck down with the flu and apparently even after taking the medication dispensed by my doctor it still wouldn’t go away. My doc gave me a total of 7 different types of medication, and that idea alone is enough to make me double sick. Is this some kind of superflu or something?

Anyway Mum was in town over the weekend for Cousin Florence’s wedding. Apart from the wedding day itself, I also had the chance to bring her around for some good food in Hong Kong. In addition, we also took a day off to Macau, and it’s actually quite amazing to think that she’s never been to Macau even though it’s almost like next door. But then again, I didn’t have my first visit to Macau until October last year, so I guess sometimes when these places are near you, you won’t really make the effort to visit them, knowing that they probably would not go away. Anyway I’ve uploaded some pictures of this trip to Macau on my Facebook page, so if you are interested please go see it on Facebook. I guess I shan’t double post.

I’m thinking if I should get one of those electronic Japanese dictionaries, given that I’m learning Japanese again. But then I didn’t have one when I did Japanese in university, so it would appear weird if I were to get one now. But then, if I don’t have a dictionary, how would I be able to learn Japanese well? Or perhaps for a start, I could get one that’s as thick as the Yellow Pages and see how it goes first. Haha.

Winter is settling in again after a few days of near-summer temperatures. It wasn’t fun when I was walking around Macau and the temperature there was 25 degrees even when it’s late in November.

Anyway my doc just called me to ask if the medication was working. The answer is of course no as I’m feeling as weak as ever, but this is the first time that a doctor calls me to check how I’m doing. That’s what I call good customer service. Haha.
