Hong Kong.

I’m back in Hong Kong via Macau after spending the week of Chinese New Year in Singapore. So yes, I’ve just stepped out of a big oven and straight into a refrigerator! It’s feeling a bit cold here in Hong Kong, but I’m sure it’s just my place that’s really cold. And to couple a cold evening with a lack of sleep, today definitely isn’t the best Sunday I’ve spent in this year so far.

Anyway the trip back to Singapore has been good. Did fulfill some of the objectives that I set out to do, and because it was the New Year period, most of my friends are busy visiting their own relatives, so I didn’t get to see all of them that I really wanted to. But I guess that’s fine, since I’ve told myself that I’ll give it probably another three months in Hong Kong before deciding where I want to go next, it could well be just three months time that I’ll find myself back in Singapore again.

One thing that I know that I would miss if I were to return to Hong Kong is the proximity to all the different places around the region. It’s like, even Japan is only 4 and a half hours away, and not to mention Taiwan which is just across the straits. If I were to return to Singapore, that means it will take much longer for me to travel to those places, and of course more expensive to do so as well. Oh well, life is always about giving and taking. And perhaps after all I may be staying in Hong Kong so who knows?
