Kaohsiung.

I arrived in Kaohsiung yesterday and my main purpose for the trip was of course the Mayday concert at the Kaohsiung World Games Stadium (or the National Stadium as the official name goes). The concert itself was brilliant – it started at 8 and ended at 12.30! The crowd was wonderful too, as there were more than 50,000 people inside the stadium. The best thing about a Mayday concert is that they are always so great in atmposhere, and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The only down side, if at all, was that it was not long enough!

As for today, I spent most of it walking around Kaohsiung. Unlike Taipei, Kaohsiung isn’t a big metropolitan city, and to be honest, it wasn’t easy trying to get around places here even though there is a MRT system here. The thing is that the main sightseeing areas aren’t really near the MRT stations, which means there were quite a bit of walking involved. That said, because it’s my first time here, I think I am still enjoying myself. Of course I have to constantly remind myself that it’s not Taipei, so I shouldn’t be comparing Kaohsiung with Taipei that often.

Would be heading back to Hong Kong tomorrow night, hope everything would be good tomorrow in Kaohsiung.
