Elections.

The elections are over and I’m glad that the candidates I voted for all managed to get a seat in the Legislative Council. For your information, I’m a pro-establishment supporter, but I know what I’m doing and I’m not supporting the pro-establishment camp because of all the perks that they give to the people. Heck, I don’t even like those things that they give out in the first place! The pro-democracy camp sometimes should stop this self-victimization – every time they lose or do not do well in the elections, they always seem to blame everyone else about the defeats but very seldom would they look at the things that they could have done to improve the situations. At the rate of going, they might evolve into Liverpool FC – living on past glories, always blaming everyone else for their failures now… but hey, at least Liverpool has won 18 titles!

Anyway this week has so far been pretty good for me. Work has been smooth, I’m getting things done, I would be starting my Korean lessons at HKU SPACE tomorrow, and then I’ll be off to Korea on Thursday with my mum. I know it might be a bit odd to be going around with my mum, but I thought maybe it’s a good idea to treat my mum to visit somewhere that she has never been to before. Let’s hope everything will continue to be good.

I’m developing a habit of tuning to K-Poppin’ on Arirang radio and like most other Korean radio programmes, they have a message board which would allow you to interact with the hosts. I’ve been posting a couple of messages and to be honest, I’m still chuffed to pieces whenever the host reads them out. It’s like, hearing your name over international radio is definitely massive!

It doesn’t hurt that the programme is fun and they play good Korean songs – it even does song requests! I’ve got my requests read out a few times already!
